OP KNOYDART
EXPEDITION

The Taster weekend is designed to introduce prospective Expedition Team Paddlers to both one another and the Expedition Leadership Team.

TASTER WEEKEND

ABOUT THE EVENT

Dates: 5 - 7 April 2024

Location: St Mary's Loch, Scottish Borders

Ability: Beginners to Experienced Paddlers Welcome

Cost: £50.00

The taster weekend is designed to introduce prospective expedition team paddlers to both one another and the expedition leadership team.

The nature of the expedition and its wilderness location requires an expedition team who are cohesive and able to work ‘as one’ in what can be challenging and arduous conditions.

Participants will need to commit to additional training as well as meeting sponsorship targets.

The taster weekend will also be an opportunity to discuss fundraising ideas and ensure individuals are comfortable with the commitment required.

Individual and team tasks both on and off the water will showcase the attributes required for the expedition as well as providing the opportunity to learn and start developing an expedition paddling strategy.

Expedition team members will be informed of their place on the team during the weekend and at this point a £30 registration fee will be payable. The minimum fundraising threshold is £600 per person.

To register for the taster weekend, please read and agree to our Terms and Conditions and pay your registration fee of £50.00. If you’re asked to join Spaces by Wix on clicking on our Terms and Conditions please click “Got an Invite Code” and enter QFEH6U

If you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of the training, please feel free to email wdc@who-dares-cares.com
